WOD Wars mission

The mission of WOD WARS is to provide an athletic competition in a variety of divisions/teams for the functional fitness athletes with weight lifting elements. Giving athletes from all over California the opportunity to showcase their physical fitness achievements. Which demonstrate courage, skills, drive and dedication to their training. We feel our competitors deserve a fitness competition that will name our top 48 competitors. Rewarding all podium finishers with well deserved prizes. CASH PRIZE WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL WWIV RX FIRST PLACE FINISHERS.

WOD WARS VISION

Today, Functional fitness stands out as a leader in the Fitness world. WOD WARS would like to inspire people while showcasing competitors, to open their minds to functional fitness world , helping them overcome their fears when they witness Masters, Scaled and Rx individuals face these challenging workouts. Teams showcase exactly what team work achieves. In hopes of educating spectators how this sport of fitness will improve all aspects of life. Thereby unite people in a shared belief of functional fitness and competitions.

We strive to expose our competitors and spectators to the latest and greatest gear, equipment, vendors and sponsors that are well known in the functional fitness community.

WOD WARS brings an experienced crew to the BATTLEFIELD and special guests offering encouragement, good advice adding an additional push for all competitors to ACHIEVE new PR's.

AGE LIMITS: You must be at least 13 years old to compete, anyone under the age of 18 a parent's or guardian's signature is required. Parent must be present to sign release. Parents to arrange signing release early, contact us below.

SCALING WORKOUT

ALL athlete that scale the workouts for any reason will not qualify to make podium, altered movements do not qualify and do not count in your score.

JUMP ROPES

This is the only apparatus you may bring of your own. You cannot use your own bars or kettlebells etc.

Double unders do not have to be unbroken.

We like to see Athletes challenge themselves and go Rx if they can do the movements safely. However, if you are not comfortable as an Rx competitor we suggest you enter as a scaled competitor.

1 person will be at each of the 4 listed "stations" and teammates will only rotate once each teammate has completed the assigned work at their station.
Once everyone has been at each station the team gets credit for 1 round.
Final score will reflect total rounds plus partial reps completed.
For the prowler, every 5yds count for a rep.
112 possible reps per round.

 

Two bars (1 male, 1 female) both must stay off the ground or the whole team must stop and complete a 5 burpee penalty

The double unders will be performed 1 athlete at a time with each athlete required to do 50. The 10 muscle ups can be performed by anyone on the team.
